Pad Thai Recipe. It lacked true Pad Thai seasonings and accordingly taste. When I prepared the recipe the sauce appeared to be miniscule in comparison to the main ingredients (noodles chicken sprouts).

Ingredients of Pad Thai
- It’s 8 oz of Rice sticks (dried rice noodles).
- Take 1 lb of Chicken/pork/beef/shrimp (choose one).
- You need 1 of as needed Oil.
- You need 4 tbsp of Garlic (minced).

- Prepare 1 cup of Carrot.
- Take 1 small of Onion.

- Prepare 1 cup of 3/8 chicken broth.

- Prepare 6 tbsp of Brown sugar.
- Make ready 3 tbsp of White sugar.
- It’s 6 tbsp of Tomato ketchup.
- Make ready 3 tbsp of Soy sauce.
- Make ready 3 tbsp of Lime juice.
- You need 1 cup of 1/8 peanut butter (if desired).
- Take of Accents.
- You need 2 tbsp of Peanuts.
- You need 1 bunch of Green onion (chopped).
- Prepare 1 large of Lime (cut in 4-6 slices for garnish).
- Prepare 1 cup of Bean sprouts.
- It’s 1 tsp of Red pepper (crushed, use for garnish).
The noodles are topped with crushed peanuts and served with fresh chives, lime wedges, with condiments such as sugar, fish sauce and chili powder on the side.Pad Thai is stir-fry dish made with rice noodles, shrimp, chicken, or tofu, peanuts, a scrambled egg and bean sprouts.The ingredients are sautéed together in a wok and tossed in a delicious pad thai sauce.It's common street food in Thailand and one of the most popular menu items at Thai restaurants around the country.
Pad Thai instructions
- Put noodles in pot with water and set on stove on lowest temp for 1 hour check occasionally to make sure they do NOT get over cooked.
- While noodles cook, put all ingredients for sauce together and let come to a small boil then let simmer..
- Put the remaining ingredients in another pan and let simmer together while watching and stirring so not to let the food burn. Use oil if needed..
- When noodles are done, drain BUT DONT PUT BACK IN POT YET! Put all together EXCEPT NOODLES then add noodles to desired dryness. I enjoy less noodles for more soup like..
