Ingredients of Sausage and Rice Casserole

  1. It’s 1 lb of ground sausage.
  2. Make ready 1 cup of uncooked rice.
  3. Prepare 2-3 cups of shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. It’s 1 can of cream of mushroom.
  5. Prepare 1 can of or 8 oz. fresh mushrooms.

Sausage and Rice Casserole step by step

  1. Cook rice per directions.
  2. Brown sausage with mushrooms.
  3. Mix ½ of cheese and cream of mushroom over low heat until cheese is melted.
  4. Mix cooked sausage with soup.
  5. Stir in cooked rice.
  6. Pour into casserole dish and cover with remaining cheese.
  7. Cook @350 for 20 minutes.
