Fish sticks instructions

  1. Slice the cod to finger size.
  2. Place egg, panko, all purpose flour in each shallow bowl/plate.
  3. Dip the cod sticks first to flour, then egg, at the last the panko.
  4. 1/3 cup of oil on a medium-high pan, wait until the oil is heated, then place the prepared cod to the pan for about one minute each side(or until golden brown).
  5. Now, you can serve with dip/salsa, or just enjoy it by itself..

Wipe out pan and repeat with remaining oil and fish.Serve fish sticks, hot or at room temperature, with tartar sauce.Place flour and egg in separate shallow bowls.

The crust was crunchy however it was rather bland.I only make a couple of changes I made my own breadcrumbs and I used toasted wheat germ instead of flake cereal cause that's what I had on hand.Frozen fish sticks are better air fried than a regular oven because the hot circulating air makes the fish sticks crispy without having to oil them.Add some tarter sauce and a few slices of lemon and voila! It's perfect with the bright lemon juice and dip.
