- You need 6 of medium potatoes.
- Make ready 3 tbsp of heavy cream (35%).
- Make ready 4 tbsp of butter or margarine.
- Make ready 2 clove of garlic minced.
- Make ready 1 tbsp of each chicken soup base, garlic powder and onion salt.
- It’s 1 tbsp of parsley.
- You need of water.
Drain the potatoes and return them to the saucepan.Add the butter, sour cream and garlic.Mash the potatoes with a potato masher or the back of a fork until the ingredients are blended.I didn't add the olive oil called for when I mashed I added some mayonnaise an old family tradition.

- Peel and chop potatoes, put in medium-small pot, fill water to cover potatoes, bring to boil and cook on medium-high for an hour or until potatoes are soft.
- Turn heat off, drain water from the potatoes, add all ingredients except the parsley and hand blend until desired consistency (we like it smooth with small chunks).
- Note: you can substitue the butter/garlic/parsley in this recipe for 4tbsp of pre-made garlic butter.
- Stir in parsley, let sit for 5-10 mins and serve.
