Ingredients of Thai Basil Chicken

  1. Make ready 2 tablespoons of peanut oil; divided.
  2. Take 1 lb of boneless skinless chicken thighs, chopped.
  3. Make ready 2 of shallots finely chopped.
  4. You need 4 of garlic cloves, minced.
  5. It’s 3 of pounded Thai chili (green or red).
  6. Make ready 2 tablespoons of fish sauce.
  7. Make ready 2 teaspoons of dark soy sauce.
  8. Take 2 teaspoons of brown sugar or palm.
  9. Prepare 1 bunch of Thai basil leaves.
  10. Prepare 1/2 teaspoon of ground white pepper.

Thai Basil Chicken instructions

  1. In a large wok, heat 1 tablespoon of oil; cook chicken. Set aside on a plate when done. Do not drain.
  2. Reheat wok with remaining oil. Cook shallots and garlic for 3 minutes.
  3. Return chicken to wok and add chilies, fish sauce, soy, and sugar. Cook on high for about 8 minutes.
  4. Throw basil and white pepper in and cook till the basil is wilted.
  5. Serve over white rice. Enjoy!.
