Ingredients of Geera Chicken
- It’s 1 pound of diced chicken breast (seasoned).
- Make ready half of medium onion (diced).
- Take 3 of garlic cloves (lightly crushed and roughly chopped).
- It’s 8-12 of chadon beni leaves (culantro/recao) minced.
- It’s 2 tbsps of oil.
- Take 1/8 tsp of methi (fenugreek).
- Take 2 tbsps of roasted geera (cumin) divided.
- You need 1 of pepper (minced).
- You need to taste of salt.

- When seasoning chicken, add one tbsp geera. Let marinate..
- Heat oil on medium heat. Add methi and let cook until brown..
- Add onion and garlic and cook until soft..
- Turn heat to low then add geera. Stir and let roast for 3 to 4 minutes..
- Turn heat up to medium and add seasoned chicken. Stir chicken to coat with geera in pot. Cover pot and let cook for about 5 minutes..
- Add chopped chadon beni and hot pepper and, if necessary, add water. Stir and cover for another 5 minutes.
