- It’s 400 ml of tomato puree/passata.
- Prepare 1/2 of onion, chopped.
- It’s 1 tbsp of olive oil.
- Make ready 200 grams of frankfurters.
- It’s of seasoning.
- Take 1/2 tsp of sugar.
- Prepare 1 pinch of thyme.
- It’s 1 pinch of black pepper.
- You need of final touch.
- It’s 50 grams of grated parmesan cheese.
A spicy sausage pasta dish with a difference.Using the cooking water helps the sauce cling to the pasta and gives the dish more body.A silky smooth sauce, perfect pasta and one pan to wash!In a Dutch oven, cook sausage and onion over medium heat until sausage is no longer pink.
Frankfurter Pasta Sauce step by step
- Finely chop the onion and put it on low heat together with olive oil, until translucent.
- Slice frankfurters in thin slices or small pieces and put them together with onions.
- Cook for few minutes until they turn darker and the good smell is spreading!.
- Add tomato puree/passata.
- Add seasonings and cook with lid on for 5 minutes (you can add hot water if the sauce become too thick).
- Sauce is ready to be added on pasta, don't forget to add some grated Parmesan on it!.
